Started in 1994 by Ed Toarmino to provide commercial and industrial lighting supplies and services. Clients include industrial complexes, property management companies, restaurant owners, retail shopping malls, supermarkets, and more.

Lighting Services

How did we get started in the lighting business?

I started my company out of my garage when I saw a need for lighting services with small businesses in strip malls. I started out delivering lamps to customers and they requested I install them as well.

I had a pickup truck, small trailer & portable cart with a couple ladders. I moved into my first building in Harrison Township in 2000, a small 1,800sq ft. shop. I later installed a sales counter for customer pick up.

In 2005, I moved to Mount Clemens, stayed there until 2009 when I purchased the location I’m at today. Full-service site lighting and sales distribution counter.

Our Mission

We strive to get it right the first time, we offer turn-key services to customers that require maintenance of lighting & other electrical needs. When you place an order / service call you get a live person not a phone tree or online company that does not respond to your needs.

We are knowledgeable, experienced and courteous. We believe in customers for life, which is why most of our clients have been with us from the start.

Competitive Hoisting

We are a full service crane rental company with cranes ranging from 17 ton to 50 ton including, moon buggys, spreader bar equipment, stake trucks & trailers. We also provide rigging to accommodate job needs.

We are staffed with experienced operators with NCCCO certifications who care about seeing your job completed in a safe, professional manor.

Additionally, we provide storage for customers that do not have the ability to receive & store equipment for upcoming service.

Crane Rental

Why did we start the crane rental business?

Dennis Mulonas approached me (Ed) in the spring of 2010 notifying me that E & N Hoisting had closed due to the economic downturn of 2008. We decided to partner up and go to the company auction as we saw a need to provide competitive services in the area. We purchased 2 boom trucks and 1 stake truck to start the company.

Our Story: How we arrived where we are today

Dennis & I worked the phones off an old customer list from the previous company E & N Hoisting (cold calling). We hired one of the old operators that ran one of the trucks we purchased.

Dennis was on the phone constantly making new contacts for service, and I filled the position of operator when a second truck was needed. We had immediate success due to our commitment to punctuality & quality service meeting the customers needs!

As time went by we sold some of the older trucks and upgraded our fleet. In 2018, we purchased a 50-ton Manitex. This opened the field to larger projects and put us on the map!

In fall of 2022, we purchased software & tablets that allowed us to better provide accurate scheduling for our customer needs. Dennis decided to retire in 2023 and I purchased the remaining 50% of the company to further grow our presence.

June of 2024, I added a 30-ton Manitex to the fleet & a long deck trailer. We now have the ability to provide services for the in between jobs that require the needs of a smaller capacity crane, and deliver larger quantities of equipment to job sites for customers.
